We champion sustainability through luxury item resale and advocate for a circular economy with longer product lifecycles. We support local causes through our not for profit shop, Turnabout Community, and other initiatives.

Circular Economy

Unlike the traditional linear economy of make, use and dispose, the circular economy is restorative and regenerative by design.

With the help of our shoppers and consignors, we are contributing to a more sustainable fashion industry where luxury & quality stays in circulation.

Turnabout Community

We support our community by selling their items for high returns, donating suitable items to our Turnabout Community shop, and giving unsaleable items to thrift shops and shelters.

Each shop is filled with items brought from people living in the community, staff live local and shoppers become friends.

Sustainable Lifestyle

 We advocate for buying and reselling quality label items which retain their value.

This approach minimizes waste and reduces the need for new production, promoting a healthier environment by keeping items in use longer.

The Turnabout Community Store

Our gift to the community. Every day, Turnabout sorts thousands of items from consignors. Items we cannot accept may be donated to our Community Store, showcasing our clients' generosity. Turnabout Community, a fundraising store, was initiated in collaboration with Dress for Success Vancouver. Big Sisters Vancouver and Cause We Care benefit from fundraising accounts, and we extend our services to organizations seeking fundraising opportunities.

We encourage and support many organizations by offering a higher commission rate on their fundraising consignment accounts. We donate items and we participate in events, fashion shows and fundraising drives.

Dress for Success

Dress for Success Vancouver is a community empowering women into the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services, and skills development programs. Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help our clients find jobs and remain employed.  

Sources

Souces is a community-based non-profit organization. They have been providing help, encouragement and hope for individuals and families in White Rock, Surrey, Delta, Langley, Prince George, and beyond for almost 40 years.

Sources Women’s Place provides a variety of free resources, programs, and supports which aim to improve the lives of women and their families.

Union Gospel

Whether it’s a nourishing meal to fuel the body or an empowering class that helps someone reach their educational goals, the Union Gospel’s comprehensive range of transformative programs and services meets the needs of the whole person. They believe that together, we can build bright futures for men, women, and children in our communities.

Cause We Care

Founded in 2007 for the purpose of assisting single mothers and children living in poverty in our community. Cause We Care believes that through the act of giving (time, resources and funds) positive change can happen for both single mothers and children in need. Turnabout supports Cause We Care by giving all profit of sales of donated items.

Chinatown Foundation

Vancouver Chinatown Foundation is a registered non-profit organization committed to the revitalization of Chinatown, one of Canada’s most iconic neighbourhoods in the historic heart of Vancouver. The Foundation is dedicated to building a more resilient and inclusive community by promoting the well-being of those in need, while preserving Chinatown’s irreplaceable cultural heritage.  

Victoria Hospice

Quality palliative and end-of-life care for all: Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for those facing life-limiting illness, death and bereavement through patient and family-centred care, education, research and advocacy.
