With more stores going online, getting those coveted designer items for less is easier than ever.
Where to begin!? For starters, it’s the most exciting way to shop! Our customers often say that the thrill of the hunt is addicting. There’s nothing quite as thrilling as finding a brand or style you’ve been coveting in like-new condition, for a fraction of the original retail value.
As fast fashion quickly becomes a more popular term, there has been a growing shift towards owning what some would call a ‘sustainable’ wardrobe. Whether that’s your fashion goal or not, you should visit Turnabout anyway. They are a 100% consignment store for men and women, carrying nearly everything from head to toes. For a fraction of retail price, you can get an entire new look.
Turnabout Luxury Resale in Oak Bay has generously opened a resale account. Partial proceeds from this resale account will support Victoria Hospice and end-of-life care in our community!
How it works: Bring any designer, gently used clothing to Turnabout and mention you would like the resale to go to Victoria Hospice. 60% of the price, when sold, will go to Victoria Hospice.
Donations: Items should be 2 years or newer, in like new condition, and very branded.
“We’re excited to see elevated casual really coming into play. Oversized shirts, flowing dresses, layering, bright and sorbet tones, prints, and relaxed fits in pants, jeans, and activewear is still huge. However, styling, colour and prints are looking more like everyday wear and not just for-the-gym looks."

"Unlike any other luxury resale boutiques, my experience at Turnabout Luxury Resale Store has been amazing. I’ve been consigning the clothes that I no longer wear to this store and love it. I am beyond happy how fast it sells and how friendly the stuff is. I fell in love with this Christian Dior ‘J’Adior’ plaid jacket from the Spring 2018 Runway. It retails approx. $3000 and you can score this beauty at Turnabout for $1495. I think it is worth it if you want to add timeless pieces into your wardrobe."

"Turnabout is also a consignment store in Vancouver that I patron regularly. They have six locations now in prominent Vancouver neighbourhoods, including West 4th, Main Street, and South Granville — and even a specific store for home good consignment. Turnabout markets themselves as luxury consignment, but in reality, they take contemporary label items — like Aritzia or Lululemon — even if they aren’t “luxury”."

If you want to treat yourself to something nice and with quality, you have come to the right place. We need to provide the quality for our consumers and of course to have a normal price on our products. Our company is doing those things exactly. We are providing exceptional quality at a normal price. Keep in mind that there are things you need to consider if you want to choose us. The information about our products is important."

For more quality high-end goods, look no further than Turnabout, which boasts three locations in the area (3132 Granville Street; 1985 West 4th Avenue; and 3112 West Broadway).
VANCOUVER MAGAZINE, MARCH 2017
This place is hands-down the best consignment shop in the city. I love the Granville Street location for its high-end brands (Gucci, Celine) and affordable prices. I encourage my two girls to spend their allowance here instead of the usual teen go-to’s —fewer, better things, I preach—and this place allows them to buy quality-made pieces that will last a lifetime.
Fashion maven Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City famously said, “I like my money right where I can see it . . . hanging in my closet.” If Bradshaw had stepped out of the TV and into Turnabout Luxury Resale, she could have filled her closet with designer labels and still had enough left over for matching shoes. For nearly 40 years, this locally owned consignment boutique has showcased expertly curated clothes, jewellery, shoes and accessories for men and women. Find well-priced like-new pieces by catwalk veterans such as Manolo Blahnik and Gucci alongside gems from beloved local brands like Nicole Bridger, Aritzia and Lululemon. Pro tip: labels are colour-coded for additional markdowns. We’re going to need a bigger closet.

Joy Mauro, owner of Turnabout luxury resale stores in Vancouver, said demand for quality second-hand clothing has "exploded" in the last five to ten years."

“The devil might have bought her Prada at this store, where brand names like Chanel, Armani, and St. John share rack space. After over 30 years in the business, Turnabout has a client list of 13,000 consignors. Downside: some Yelpers complain it’s a bit pricey. But Christie S. writes: "You will think you’ve died and gone to rich-people’s-castoffs heaven."
AUGUST 2012 BUSINESS IN VANCOUVER
“Turnabout Prestige Consignment owner Joy Mauro told Business in Vancouver that her sector of customers increasingly wants to sell items outright rather than leave them on consignment. Mauro gives them 40% of the resale price for items up to $500 and slightly higher percentages for items priced above $500. When she pays cash for items, she pays a much smaller percentage.
"I used to tell customers, 'Sell it on consignment and wait a while, you'll make more money. And they would,'" she said. "Today it's different. Especially for less expensive merchandise, they don't want to worry about consignment."
